How it all started
My name is Meredith Bonny and I am a self-taught professional chef specializing in Italian farm to table cuisine, homemade baked goods and artisan charcuterie.
I am a 47-year-old mother of 3 beautiful children, who taught myself how to cook after leaving a 12-year career in print journalism. What started as a hobby in my once tiny kitchen has become my greatest passion and subsequently, my new career. I love to channel my creative energy into food. To make it as beautiful as it is delicious. To me, food is how I show my love.
Since I started Rosemary Fresh, I have cooked for hundreds of families… so many birthdays… anniversaries and baby showers. I have loved them all! At times, I am called to cook for families facing life’s saddest, most difficult times. I try to use my food to bring people together and show them that while life is hard… people care and food heals.
Before I started Rosemary Fresh, I worked as a reporter focusing on human-interest stories. I became invested in my subjects whether I was covering an orphanage in Afghanistan or a father who had to leave his family to return to his Coast Guard duties in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba.
Today, I apply the same love and care for my customers. I have never cooked for anyone just once…my customers become repeat customers… then friends… and then family.
My philosophy
Rosemary Fresh has become a part of who I am.
I love sharing my creations, my passion and my recipes. When someone hires me to cook a meal for them or to deliver a treat to a friend or family member… I add all the little special touches to make them feel loved. The best food, decorated in my favorite flowers wrapped with my signature green raffia ribbon. I love to spoil my customers. I have become the person you call when you are celebrated a special life event or sadly, when the worst has happened and you want to comfort someone.
I enjoy using food to create art that looks as beautiful as it tastes. I started my business a little over four years ago with a delivery of homemade Jordan Marsh blueberry muffins. Since then, so much has happened.
I am forever grateful to those who have followed along on my culinary journey. I appreciate your orders, your kind words and your support.
