Back from a little R&R

I know it’s been a long time since I’ve posted. While I love my job, I have to say it was so nice to turn off my phone and just enjoy my children for a few days. I spoiled them rotten ...

I truly appreciate your patience and understanding... I had to turn down quite a few jobs and I apologize for that.

My family thanks you!!! We took time to play cards and board games... all the things I’m usually too busy to do. We read books. And enjoyed cooking together ... for fun!!!

Now ... I’m back!!!

And cooking for two of my favorite teachers this week... I can’t wait to surprise them.

I made this special cake for Leo’s first grade teacher ... we will never forget her...

she truly understood my son’s shy but inquisitive nature.

This cake is for her husband’s birthday but I modeled it after her ... so it’s naturally beautiful...

and included her favorite Oreos!!!

I hand-dipped them in white, dark and milk chocolate and gave them a tartan appearance. The cake ... a rich chocolate... has layers of chocolate buttercream as well as a little surprise between each layer of delicious cake... what else but crumbled Oreos!!!

The top has a the most perfect lavender rose and little bursts of purple sunshine.

I hope she and her husband and their adorable son enjoy eating it tonight as much as I enjoyed making it for her.

Food is love. So is chocolate Oreo cake.

I love my job and and my customers. Thank you

for your support always.
